Terms of Use
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and LovLume, registered at an address that will be published here once the company registration is complete, about your use of the LovLume app.
By creating an account, or by continuing to use LovLume, you accept them. If you do not, please stop using the app.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of your relationship with us, though it is a notice rather than something you agree to.
2. LovLume is not medical care
This matters more than anything else in these terms, so it comes first.
LovLume offers meditation, breathing exercises, affirmations and reflective prompts for general wellbeing. It is not a medical device, not therapy, and not a substitute for professional care.
Nothing in the app diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any condition. Do not use it in place of advice from a qualified professional, and do not delay seeking that advice because of something you read or heard here.
If you are in crisis or think you may be in danger, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately. LovLume cannot help you in an emergency.
If you have a physical or mental health condition - including a respiratory condition, a heart condition, epilepsy, or a history of trauma or dissociation - talk to your doctor before starting breathing exercises or meditation practice. Stop if a practice makes you feel unwell.
3. Your account
You can use LovLume as a guest, in which case your progress is tied to the device you are using.
If you create an account, keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at help@lovlume.com if you think someone else has access to it.
You must be at least 18 to use LovLume. One person, one account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
4. Free and premium
Part of LovLume is free and supported by ads. Premium removes the ads and unlocks the full library, longer sessions and additional tasks.
What is included in each tier can change as the app develops. We will not take away something you have already paid for during a billing period you have paid for.
5. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation
Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Your payment is taken by the store, not by us; we never see your card details.
Unless you cancel, your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price shown when you bought it. The store charges you within 24 hours before each renewal.
Cancel any time from your Apple or Google account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for, and premium stays available until that period ends.
If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy, not by us. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact Apple or Google. We will help where we can.
Prices may change. We will tell you before a change affects a renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
6. Ads
The free tier shows ads. Whether those ads are personalised depends on the choice you made in Settings -> Privacy and data; you can change it at any time.
We do not control what individual ads are shown, and an ad appearing in LovLume is not an endorsement by us.
7. How you may use LovLume
LovLume is for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Please do not: copy, record, download or redistribute the audio, text or images in the app; reverse-engineer or interfere with the app or our servers; use automated tools to access the service; try to get around ads, paywalls or usage limits; or use the app to break the law or harm anyone.
We may end your access if you do.
8. What you write
Task reflections and custom affirmations are yours. You keep them, and deleting your account deletes them.
You give us permission to store and display them back to you, which is what makes the feature work. We do not publish them, share them, or use them to train anything.
9. Our content
The meditations, affirmations, exercises, audio, artwork, text and software in LovLume belong to us or to those who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them inside the app. That licence gives you no other rights.
10. Availability
We work to keep LovLume available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may need downtime for maintenance.
Some features need an internet connection. Some need permissions you grant on your device, such as notifications; the app works without them, with less.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time. Settings -> Profile -> Delete account permanently erases your account and your data.
Deleting your LovLume account does not cancel a subscription bought through Apple or Google. Cancel that in your store account first, otherwise it will keep renewing.
We may end this agreement if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
12. Our liability
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data where you have not kept your own copy, or for anything arising from your use of the app in place of professional care.
Where our liability can be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version number and effective date at the top tell you which version you are reading.
If a change materially affects your rights, we will ask you to accept the new version in the app before you carry on using LovLume.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator of LovLume is registered, and its courts have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the UK, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.
